Unfortunately 944 don't make flames outta the exhaust yo. But ma homie put da ting in da pipe crackad it up and kabom, instant turbo whistle, FO shizzle!!! You're gonna get flames all over you in this forum for posting stuff like that, but never out of NA. Sell the 944, buy a DSM, throw pocket change on it and you'll be getting flames in and out of the car. Anyways, 944 are so slow on the pick up that you shouldn't even own one. Truly, your dizzle.

I posted this in the 951 forums under a similar question about off the line performace. At a stoplight next to whatever you think is the most worthless econo-box (I'll pick a Geo Metro) ~ with equally skilled drivers the Metro will leave you for about 2 seconds. When your boost finally comes up, you're going to strip the paint off the other car when you go by. Stock 951's suck off the line because of the low compression, time to turbo spool and fragile clutch.

These cars are NOT about getting off the line. They are about perfect ballance and awesome handling. This is the car you want to be driving in the N. GA mountains, the Autocross course or a Drivers Education (track)event. The turbos will easily hit 140 (indicated in 4th) ~ they're about ultimate speed in a well adjusted handling package. If you want to get off the line quick, find a nice old american muscle car with LSD.... shoot, most of the current imports will do a great job of it too when tuned right.
