Hey guys,
I have a 944 engine block that has stamped, on the left (driver) side rear of the block, the following:
9441011103R 0046.2
On the top right rear of the block the 0046.2 designation is also stamped.
I don't see the M 44.51 stamped anyplace. It's a bare block that came with the balance shaft covers, and the left one is tapped for the Turbo Oil feed.
Question: Does anybody know if the if this it a turbo block, and second, how do I determine what year it is. If it's a Turbo, it should be '86 or later.
