Default Identify Mystery Fender Wires

Bought an 87 944 from a kid who blew a tire and tore up the driver side front fender. He claimed his ratchet touched some wire while replacing the finder and caused a spark and next day the car won't crank. Troubleshooting the no-crank issue and noticed a pair of wires (one red and one black/red) under the fender that were apparently cut. Can anyone identify they? What are they for? Could they be part of my cranking issue? They run straight back thru the firewall to the fuse box. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pics below.

The two small wires in the center of the pic.

Doesn't look factory. Could it be for a kill switch (po' boy's security)?

Turns out you were right. The car had an aftermarket security system on it that was hidden under the fuse box which had died. Removed the dead security system and the car started right up.

those wires were most likely to the aftermarket alarm horn. The bracket behind the wires looks familiar to other aftermarket alarm systems that I have seen.

I've heard of big rigs blowing tires and destroying fenders, but a car? How much tire pressure was he running, anyway?!
