Thumbs up 944/951 test pipes

I met a guy yesterday who makes cat test pipes and sells them on ebay. He sells mostly to the ricer crowd but said he could make them for 944's.
He needs on old cat to make a pattern from. They will have a flange on them so they will bolt right in. Price will be $40.
He has a flange pattern for 89 944's but he said the older models are different.
If anyone has an old cat they want to donate just send me a pm. I think there should be a good interest for $40.

It won't be beautiful stainless steel but it'll get the job done.

Does this guy know how long 944 cat pips are and that they're curved?

That's my concern. A proper test pipe needs to replace the whole pipe and not just the cat. The inner wall of the stock pipe is prone to collapsing and becoming quite restrictive.

I'll forward everyone's questions to him. Keep them coming. He seemed to know what he was talking about and I told him these things usually go for a lot more money but he stood by his price.
I know what they say about something being too good to be true, but I think it's worth checking out.

Pete, I can't exactly donate them but I have a few of each one if he want to borrow them for patterns or measurements.
