Default 1987 944 Turbo A/C Question

Well I was driving to the airport this week and here is what happened:

I was driving with my A/C on and no issues, A/C was blowing cold (just replaced the A/C control unit). I stop to get gas, when I restart my car and hit the A/C switch I get nothing but a the central warning "!" light.

I don't have access to my car but I am looking for ideas what to check once I get home this weekend to get my A/C working again.

What I observed in a couple minute troubleshooting was that when I hit the button and the "!" warning light comes on I don't hear the compressor engage and it blows only hot air.

Thank you and I will keep the thread posted once I get home this weekend.

If the belt is OK, and there is no refrigerant left in the system, check the high pressure hose that goes from the compressor to the condenser.

It is the most highly stressed part of the system.

Thank you both, I will check both when I get back to the airport Friday.

Any other suggestions are welcome, I will update the forum on Saturday.

ok, so I checked everything and found nothing wrong, so I started simple, I had a blown 7.5a A/C fuse, replaced the fuse and viola I had A/C again.

Thank you all for your replies.

well after a day of usage it seems to all be fixed with the replacing of the fuse.

Looking forward to more list questions.

Thank you,

Chad
