Had another 944 brown/garnet red sighting on Swan Island....have been spotting quite a few 944s this past week....

 

I am going to school down here in Eugene. Have seen a couple other 944's, but no other 951's. Good to know someone from the northwest is on these boards :-)

I live and work in PDX.

 

I used to live in Vancouver, Washington. The place sucked. I used to party in POrtalnd. 86944T, Eugene is quite far from Portland. I went to a Vocational School in Yachats, Oregon which is about 45 min drive from Eugene. Yachats, Oregon sucks too, its all retired old people.

 

Do any of you have a mechaninc that knows 944's. I will take mine to Sunset Imports (Audi & Porsche dealership in Beaverton), but would rather take it to a Porsche friendly mechanic in the area that does not lighten my wallet.

I've taken my 944 and 951 to Stuttgart AutoTech (off I-5 near the Boones Ferry exit) and Marque Motors (off Macadam in Portland).

There was also a Rennlister by the name of Glenn Humbert who had offered his services. He works fulltime at Intel, and co-opts a garage with a friend who is running a performance shop (may take a little longer than a dedicated shop, but will likely be cheaper). Everything else is like a normal shop, insurance, etc. I have not used him yet. His email address is: xcessiv@teleport.com

I drive a red 93 968 (haven't seen any around) and my wife drives a 91 944S2.

 

Looks like we may have to plan a 944 Get-Together here in Portland (before the weather starts getting wet)!

Well I just started working on my car last night. I am going to be putting on new motor mounts and checking the balance shafts, so I will be out of commission for a few weeks(family, work, car, in that order). I think we should have a little road rally in the next month and do a little drive in the Yamhill, Dunde area.

I bet we could get at least 5 or 6 cars for the trip.......

If anyone out there has done the balance shafts, let me know. I'd be willing to provide food, beverage, ect.....
