Question Is the 30,000 mile S2 on ebay a sham?

I ran a carfax on the car, and it came up with nine possible owners in a few different states. That didn't bother me and I asked the seller the following questions. That was three days ago. So far no answer, and the auction was again ended early at $15,000.

i wonder if the seller will answer my questions. are they out of line?

Here is the text of my email.

"Hi,
A couple of questoins.
Is the clutch the original clutch?
Has any part of the car ever been repainted?
Has car been smoked in?
Are the shocks factory? Are they the yellow Konis or Black Boges?
How many ways are the seats electronically adjustable? 4,8 or 12 way? Driver & passenger please.
Dash cracks, any at all?
Has the car ever overheated, has the head ever been removed?
Has the car been autocrossed or taken to the track for a DE or other PCA function
Thanks,
Tom Radow,
PCA member looking to replace my S2 that was stolen two weeks ago with another S2.

Tom,

They do not seem out of line at all.
Valid questions on the cars history.

If he didn't respond I'd be very wary... Also the auction ending early is a bad sign.

Yup..you never can tell...the pics show a great car in fine condition...but who knows...these pics on Ebay could have been taken a few years ago.

That is the biggest load of BS.

No one in their right mind would take 15,000 for a '90 S2 with 30K miles. Must have a dirty title. 30K miles should be a collector item.

If that car is really what it is, i can see justification in the price. Anything more than $15k sounds like too much. Might as well buy a 968. If that car is truly as described, and still looks like that, it sounds like a good buy. It would HAVE to have a pre-purchase inspection though. I dont care what a person says about it. Ide need proof that is current within the month. Remember, a Porsche is only worth what an buyer will pay. Like in my case, i know i overpaid, but i also knew i would be holding on to the car for many, many years to come. An extra grand or so to have years of enjoyment isnt too bad if you find the one you really want.
