Default For those familiar with front seal kits

In my front seal kit, there is one seal (sized 38x55x7) that I have no idea where it goes. It is black rubber as opposed to the other red ones. Looked in PET and can't find any seal in that area with those dimensions.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the crankshaft seal - that one is black rubber, instead of brownish like the balance shaft and camshaft seals. There is also an O-ring that goes on the end of the crank. Good luck, MF

i'll say crankshaft as well. some kits come with both of the sizes for the crankshaft, early&late model engines (oil pump housings are different between the years of 84-85 iirc)

There is one for both balance shafts, one for the crank, and one for the cam shaft if I remember right.
