Default WTB: Canadian DRL Relay for '90-91 S2 or 968

1991 S2 here

Looking to buy the Canadian relay that allows for daytime running fog
lights in a '90 or '91 S2 (relay G18) or a 968 (relay G26).

Part # 944 615 123 00 (NLA from Porsche)

Or is there an equivalent VW/Audi relay?

Thanks!

If it's NLA, then it's NLA. But for some reason Sunset's website indicates they can source one.

Good luck in the search!

There are a few vendors that still list it for sale on their sites, and I have called some of them.
It is definitely NLA after they made calls to Porsche.

I'm looking for one from a parted out Canadian car if possible, or an equivalent relay.

From what I understand, it was very specific to Canadian MY '90 and '91 S2s and 968s.

There was a mod that I found on here a long time ago to make the US fogs work like DRL. If the switch is left on, they turn on and off automatically when the ignition is on/off.

Thanks, I had not seen that thread.

I was just wondering if someone (a Canadian parter maybe?) had the plug and play
relay before I resort to surgery.

Yeah, it's a pretty old thread!
Using the relay would be easier if you can find one. If not this mod really isn't hard & I've been super happy with it!
Good luck either way!

Well I discovered that I already have a relay in my G18 position and
it's for the S2 factory alarm, and not documented on the lid of my fuse box.

So putting the Canadian G18 relay in there is a no-go.

I guess I'll go with the G6 bridge mod like in the link above.

Default G6 Bridge Mod for DRL fogs

Just did this mod to the G6 bridge for DRL fogs. Excellent.

Functions exactly the way I was looking for...

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with that mod, too.
Glad it worked for you!
