I'll have to remember to put a pan underneath next time, cause all the electrons are going somewhere and I'm not sure where that is.
When I test from the bottom of the DS strut to the top of the PS strut I have continuity all the way across. That's good.
When I test the lead coming out of the pillar I have power, about 11 to 12 volts.
When I test the lead connected to the top of the DS strut when it is not connected to the grid I have power.
When I connect the lead to the grid I show like 8mv.
Where the heck is the power going? Is this right? Do I need to test this with the hatch closed and crawl in through the front seat? That's not going to be fun since I am 6'5" and 215lbs. Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Fortunately it's rainy today so maybe the hatch glass will fog up on the way hoem and I can see if the defrost works or not.

Should feel it heating up with your hand.
If you have continuity from the PS grid connection to the chassis it should work -- based on what you have reported.
You don't have any window film on the hatch?
