need help identifying this (loose) connector
In the middle of putting stuff back together (cam cover, fuel rail, etc)... noticed this connector just lying loose under the intake manifold in between the 3rd and 4th cylinders (4th cylinder being in the rear). It's below (to the driver's side) of the 3rd and 4th spark plugs.
It is not one of the fuel injector connectors.
And it's not something I took apart (and car was driving OK with it as is therefore).
Any idea where this would get connected to? Thanks!
This first photo is as it was found.
This 2nd photo is after i turned the connector toward me.

I traced the wire to looping back into the bundle that goes through the firewall just behind the cam cover. I think... a spaghetti of several wires under the intake, but i'm quite sure of this.
And it is NOT the idle control valve connector.
I'm thinking maybe it's the connector for a knock sensor or auxiliary air valve, which my '88 base doesn't have??? This link sort of sheds some light.

I have a 87 NA and I have the same "extra" connector. As the third owner I was afraid something was disconnected. I've been through everything and I am now guessing that I wound up with a turbo harness from the factory. I am guessing that my extra was also for a knock sensor. (I posted a similar question about a year ago). Don't sweat this one, lots of other more important things to worry about.
