what do you guys know about 968 tiptronic maintenance?

there is a 968 tiptronic for sale by me. 50k orig owner and all that nonsense.
the 968 board is pretty quiet, and 968.net isnt working.
what do you know about the tiptronic repair problems etc?

I have one and I like it VERY much. Except for off the line, the performance of the tip is surprisingly good and people that put them down generally do not know what they are talking about.
As far as "issues" with the tip trannys, they are pretty darned solid and can handle up to approx 400hp before you start seeing issues with them. There does seem to be a concern with the flex plate having premature failures, which is a $700 part and $800 labor bill. Maintenance is o different than any other automatic tranny, do an occasional filter and fluid change, and you should be good to go.
As an added bonus for us tip owners, you can install a 993 paddle shift steering wheel on the car and make everyone else green with envy.
