holy crap did you see that crazy go kart, what is that and were do i get one. that guy was sideways through the whole track. that looks so fun

 

brett im the president of a club here at ERAU that will be soon racing Karts like those... fun stuff! a good shifter'll cost you near what a decent 944 will cost you.... but are they ever FAST! our 100CC parilla direct drive kart should hit around 100, more like 80-90 on a track, but at 17k rpm, making 25hp, with 390 wt, man will it be quick!

That's about as insane as that RUF video, just in a different way

 

You could probably make your own one of those pretty cheap. A used motorcycle motor (gsxr750 in this case)...say $1,000. Used cart chasis with lots of stuff another 1k.....some welding and you've got a 120HP go kart for around 2-3k.
