Question Is Pelicanparts.com really busier than Rennlist?

In the new Excellence, a full page ad for pelicanparts.com (page 111) claims it is the "Internet's Largest Daily Gathering of Porsche Enthusiasts". They claim 15,000 + hits each day. Is Rennlist busier than that?

There is no way(at least for the 944/turbo forums) that Pelican is busier than Rennlist. I check each daily, and at most there will be 5 new threads on the turbo board at Pelican, here there are usually 2-pages worth. Shenanigans, I say...Shenanigans.

The 911 board really flies over there but the 944 board is really slow.

Yeah, well the 911 board has very heavy traffic. You can have an unreplied topic buried several pages back within a matter of hours somedays.

Yeah, but how many threads here are irrelevant? (Like the recent Porsche vs. Honda vs. Volvo thread...)

I saw that ad.
I'm inclined to think it's BS.

15,000 hits a day? Seems Excellence didn't do their homework.

IIRC Rennlist doesn't bat a eye at 15,000 hits.

Either way, we all know which is the FINEST group of Porsche enthusiasts.

John D should write a letter to the editor. Can't let that go unanswered.

Has nothing to do with Excellence. This was an ad taken out by Pelican to promote their website.
If John D had an issue, he would take it up with the guys at Pelican. I'm guessing this doesn't really bother him too much. Given that Porsche became an official corporate sponsor of Rennlist, and not Pelican (AFAIK). We know what time it is.

Granny--spot on, as usual!

Can't agree with that, they ran the ad, so they are involved. At the least they will ask them about their claim next time they run the ad, or run a letter from John which wpould be a good thing for him. It's the quick and easy way to deal with it
