I bet the Pelican 911 board get's 12K of those hits per day. It is massive. The Pelican 944 board, on the other hand..........well.........to quote Forest Gump: "That's all I got to say 'bout dat."

The Pelican 911 board is very busy but some days the Rennlist 944 board is like a chat room! I've had questions answered within minutes on both boards but you need to be in the right rooms.

i'm not sure that excellence has anything to do with the ads. as long as they are paid for and not advertising something illegal then they are probably ok. i don't think any magazine has ever investigated the claims in ads. think of all the ads that claim their product is #1 at whatever it does. magazines would have to run benchmarks night and day to see if the ad is justified

IMHO...Pelican gets 10% of the traffic on the "924/944/et al" boards Rennlist does...I visit there everyday and it substantially slower than years ago.

One thing I have noticed, the 911 board at pelican has more traffic.
That said, I have maybe 4 posts on pelican and...well a few more than that here, plus all the years on the Rennlist email lists.

pelican has far far far more 912s. i only have maybe 50 posts there though. when i need to find out stuff about my car i post on the 912 registry bbs (more 912s there than anywhere naturally). even there i might only have 500 or so.
