I had to order through a newly starting U.S distributor for Van-Zweeden simply because if I wanted to order the spoiler direct from Van-Zweeden then the shipping alone was going to be over $300.

I have spoken many times with the people at Van-Zweeden especially a guy by the name of Burt, real nice guy... The spoiler alone costs about $340...plus you also have to pay a customs fee of 19% and a local tax for the Netherlands...The total direct from Van-Zweeden was over $750 when everything was said and done...
First off, congrats on your car! The amount of work you've put into it really shows and the results are stunning.

Second, as a European I'm not overly surprised by the delay/cost/complications you're experiencing with your order for the 968 wing. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, but it brought to mind an idea I've had for some time now. Not to hijack the thread, but I think your "wing delay" is a good case in point.

As Rennlist grows, so does the number international members, and several of us commute periodically between Europe and the U.S. I wonder if we could work out a way to do some logistics amongst ourselves whenever we're traveling and someone needs a shipment at either side of the Atlantic. I know I took a set of factory C2T wheels with me last time I went home to Barcelona and it was no big deal at all. Excess baggage was something like US$70 and we're talking 4 17" alloy wheels. No customs duties, no nothing.

It could simply consist of people who would be traveling from major supplier areas (Germany, Netherlands, U.K. in Europe, or equivalent supplier locations in the U.S.) posting to the regional forums with their itinerary and whether they would be willing to act as "mules" for reasonably sized shipments. It could be decided whether we should pay for this or if the "mules" could accept donations made to Rennlist in lieu of payment for the courtesy shipping.

What do you guys think?

Nice job on the car, looks beautiful. I was wondering where you got the tail lights with the white portions in them?

Luis, I think thats a fantastic idea! I've been on the fence ordering some things from various European sources due to the fact that shipping would double the invoice price.
Maybe you should start another thread?
I know I would be ecstatic to pay $100-150 to ship from Europe (I was quoted $500+).
PM me if you come up with anything.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.. That is the cleanest looking 944 I've ever seen. In all senses of the word.

Nice ride Damien, can't wait to see it again in spring man.

Take it easy
