about bass blockers- don't use 'em unless you've got a sub, too. I tried them in my S with some JBL speakers in the front doors, and they cut out WAAAAAAAY too much of the bass. Took 'em back out and keep the bass boost off, and it sounds much better, and still doesn't distort.
One little extra that can make a difference is putting a baffle behind the speaker. Helps bass response a little bit, but for ~$5 from crutchfield, i can't complain.
