Default leather seat care

What are people using for leather seat care? I had been using Lexol,a professional leather repair place said to use mink oil,so I tried it,its more work but seems to make the seat more flexible. You need to leave it on for a few hours and wipe off /buff.It still seemed like there was residual but considerably softer, any others tried it?

Remember to clean it first!I use lexol cleaner HTH

I use Lexol also but not getting the results I want. The car lived in Florida for a long time and the passenger seat is really hard and dry. I'm trying to bring it back to life but not really any luck.
I'll try the mink oil and see what happens.

Leatherique is helping the hard leather on the passenger's seat of my 928. I need to do a couple more treatments but the seat is much better.

They give a Rennlist member discount too.

An "old timer" once recommended a product called "bag balm" or something like that. It's used when milking cows by hand, so you don't chaff the poor old girls udder. He said to use it like hand lotion and apply it by hand. I've never tried it, but sounds reasonable. I've also heard that plain old hand lotion works well too, and is a lot less expensive.

They sell bag balm at the Pet stores; You also can try a bottle of glycerin, which is available at any drug store.

Friend of mine reconstituted an old Rattlesnake skin with that, is very supple without lines now.

I use the Lexol cleaner and conditioner once a month. Every other month I use some stuff called Hidefood. It is a paste that you apply, let sit, then rub off. You can probably get it through Emmons or Car Care On-line.
