Default What's this vehicle worth

Hey Guys,

Excuse my ignorance, as I have tried to do my research on the entire Porsche family but am a bit lost.

Saw a GT3 for sale at a used dealership for $23k. Turned around to go check it out. Being a car guy, I'm thinking GT3 means big bucks, why so cheap.

Long story short, it's a 99, 3rd owner had it from 20k miles until the almost 90k on it now. Has some mods on it, which makes me think the vehicle has some abuse. But I guess these cars are meant to be driven hard. Was there even a GT3 model then? What did the GT3 entail? I'm thinking this just has a GT3 body kit on it? Vehicle felt very slow in my opinion but looks very slick, especially compared to the standard 99 911. I'm lost and losing sleep over this vehicle. Any information is greatly appreciated. It seems overpriced and probably something I should run from.

Follow your instincts. There's always another one right around the corner.

My only advise is post it in the correct subforum for a more accurate response. Going on my terrible memory I don't recall the gt3 being released in the 996's first year of production. Maybe ROW got it, but the regular 1999's were problematic (bearing issues) and 3.4l. Outside of that the 996 subgroup is where you need to be and if you ask one of the moderators they can move the thread.
