Default steering wheel question

Will newer steering wheels (like off of a boxster ,993 or 996) fit on our cars? I know the 930s will, but curious about the 993 especially.

I see you have no responses so I'll throw in what very little I know. I'm almost positive that nearly any OEM wheel will fit, there may be some adaptation to make it work. I know that my wheel from 88-924S is not round, but elliptical, done so drivers would have more leg room between the wheel and the seat(thank god-It gets tight and I'm 6'1" and 160lb.) I'm not sure but an airbag wheel may not fit and are expensive even without the actual airbag. I thought about switching out my wheel, but it's just too intimate a piece of the car for me to replace(yet,) it only has 57K orig. miles on it! Good luck hope it helps.
BTW--me like 930 wheel

Thanks. I've always been curious about the newer steering wheels, but the 930s is definitly my favorite. I was in Munich a few months back, but the dealership was out of them at the time. Bummer. The search continues...

If you want the 930S Steering wheel, I believe they can be purchased online at AJUSA and at Stuttgart Performance. I've been lusting after them myself! They are the ones w/o airbags, though.

Since I'll probably never have a chance to take one off a car, I may never find out if it might fit, but the best feeling and fitting steering wheel I've ever driven was the Lamborghini diablo...perfect fit, small diameter, flat on the bottom for legroom, and just an all around good feel. Maybe someday I'll figure out a way to try and grab one...

The 993/996/986 wheels will not fit. The hubs are different. I thought the same and wanted the newer 3 spoke steering wheel with airbag. No such luck.

Jason I think if I had that wheel I would rather have it attached to the Lamborghini!

Well, since I've driven the lambo but can't afford it, I figured I'd settle for the wheel...

Anybody have part # for AJ...I used to be able to find it, but after 5 minutes of searching, I can't find the darn wheel anywhere on their site.

*edit* I'm a moron, if anyone needs it, here's the link...
