The PET is a marginal piece of junk. Just ask the dealers who use it.
Working on stripping the graphics and parts text and building a visual basic shell to run them with.
Now where did I put that EBCDIC translator???

I don't friggn' understand it. I just don't. Yes the PET is copyrighted. So, we can't talk about where to download it off site? What's wrong with that? Rennlist / John D. is not responsible for what users do on other sites. Gimme a break. I think this is complete bull.

Didn't say the PET wasn't useful. Just a real PITA to use having to change the screen resolution then finding the desk top rearranged when you exit the program. Yeah, I know the dealers have a dedicated system to run it on.
As I've said before Porsche is really brain dead on this. But that is German arrogance.

Porsche is a total bully on this. Anything that alludes to their "intellectual property" is verboten!
German arrogance.
You and I both know that having a print out of the part assembly in your hand and the last known good part number saves the dealers lodes of time.
You should hear the stories of the piles of wrong parts that have to be returned because of miscommunications.
