Default Installed an Idle Stabilizer Valve......now what??

A couple of days ago I replaced my Idle Stabilizer Valve. Getting that intake off was a PITA! I just took off the old one and put on the new one. That all I did.

When I first started the car - it revved at like 2000+. After driving a bit, it went back down and idles fine, but the past two mornings (on start up), the car revvs high again.

First, what should a 944 idle at right after starting it up? Does it rev high for a bit then come down?

Second - I know I was supposed to do something after installing the ISV, like re-setting the idle - but I can't find any screws on the throttle-body to adjust. I think I'm supposed to disable the ISV, set the idle and the hook it back up......anyone know how to do this on an S model 944?

All in all, the new ISV stopped my dipping idle. It has dipped like four times in three days since the new one has been put in, but it catches itself and goes normal - as opposed to before when it would dip to almost stall and then idle at like 400 Rpm, which really was horrible.

Thanks all.....

Nobody??? Not even on the "what should the idle be at right after start-up?" question?

My car idles at 1000rpm all the time. Hot, cold, doesn't matter. I replaced my idle control valve as well and still had an erratic idle. (Sometime high, sometimes low and a really scary ability to not know when I got off the throttle all together!!) I ended up replaced the TPS and it corrected all of the problems.

That is next on my list - I figure that should cure many a problem also.
