Taxes still apply. As for the age of the car, I'm not entirely sure. I work for the CCRA, but at Air Traffic, not the land border, so I don't encounter this at work. However, I can tell you that regardless, it is EXTREMELY important to check on these things BEFORE you try to import the car.

And declare it properly. Seriously.
