Default Ball joint removal difficulty

So, I got the epoxy out, got the snap ring, and I thought the ball joint should just slide on out like it did in the video... But I was wrong. I've tried pressing on it some to force it out, but I don't want to damage anything. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Honestly, it seemed to be in good shape, I just wanted to do this while I had the car apart. Kinda wishing I'd left it alone now.

By the way, I don't actually work barefoot! I just ran out to take this pic after trying to search to no avail.

That's good news!

Can you use a vice or press to push it out? I think I had to do it that way.

I did try to use my vise, but I was worried that I was missing something and wanted to check before I broke something. Kinda paranoid about these aluminum arms. I may try and soak it in something before I try again.

If you are replacing the joint, I would drill a little hole in the 'made in Germany' stamping and thread a screw for a claw or slide hammer.
