Do a search for engine swaps among the past posts and you'll find a whole more info than you'd care for. But the bottom line is that you need to do more than just replacing the engine (how much depends on what you have to start with).

Try a search, it has been discussed (and done) before.
The short story: Yes, it can be done. You need the 968 motor complete with MAF, DME, etc. If you don't want to use the 968 dual-mass flywheel setup (which neccessitates a shorter 968 torque tube) you can use a 944S flywheel and a 944 bellhousing and torque tube. Also here is a wiring mod for the 968 DME to work (alarm related, IIRC.)
Probably $5000 minimum (labor excluded) by the time you are done. With a few more bucks you can get a decent 951 and have better brakes, 16" wheels and so on instead (which would also have resale value.)
