My headlights have this wierd issue that they are going up and down in a loop whenever I turn the on/off switch off with the ignition on. IF I turn them on again it stops, or if I turn the ignition off.

The relay on the headlight motor is changed, but not to a new one. I followerd Clarks-garage's guide to check the voltage on teh wires and they seem to be in order, however, I'm gonna doeble check this.

I just got a new light switch and haven't testet it after that.


Any takers on what might be wrong?

I just had that problem. I bought a NEW relay (the one on the motor) and after installing it, the problem disappeared.

I'll just try that. If it's just a regular relay for blinkers they're dirt cheap anyway.

Any other things I should look for?

Yep, had the exact same problem. Turns out it was the relay on the motor near the passenger headlight. If you open the relay, you'll see a contact switch. Just to test, you file down the contact switch and it will work ok for awhile. You know then it is the relay.

You can manually grab your headlights to stop the cycling up and down if you have to wait a couple days for the relay to arrive. It's not a classy fix but it works to get you home.

A couple light taps of a screwdriver handle on the relay will usually buy you a couple of on/offs too.
