Really stupid point .....

But what door did you unlock the car with.

My car will only start if you use the key in the drivers door to unlock the car. If you open the passenger side door with the key the car will not start until you have locked and unlocked the car with the key in the drivers side door.

Just a thought may be wrong but worth a try.
My car is also an 89 S2

I can see the tach bounce so the reference sensor is working. Do you smell fuel? You may want to pull the spark plugs, clean them and put them back in. I think they are flooded... Also check the connections at the AFM and igniter and ballast resistors.

Now I trying to find "welding poont 2 MPIX". Is somebody has known, where it is? And must the ground be on 17 and 30 connectors DME?

Make sure to get Bosch, others have had some crazy issues trying to use alternative brands.

If you would like to do more debug first, you can try making sure that you don't have a short between the two wires in one of the injector plugs. If you can verify that you don't have spark and the injectors aren't firing that will definitely point towards the reference sensors, or far less likely a bad DME.
I have checked injectors wires - it is ok. I have tried to start engine with no original reference sensor - it is the same. Hall sensor I checked just by ohmmeter - it has have reaction when some metal object near.

Thank you for advance. Does it make any sense to check the alarm if the rear door opens from outside with key as usual?

I have never noticed before that when I opened passenger door first the car didn't start. I opened driver door first, but it the same.

I don't smell any fuel. I have checked and cleaned spark plugs. I also have checked AFM connector wires from DME - all 4 connectors have good ping. What do you mean by igniter and ballast resistors?

ArtSergio,

I went through a very difficult no start recently. Before you begin searching for the problem, make sure you know why your car isn't starting. Are the plugs wet with gas? Pull off your injector rail, crank over the engine (after making sure that there are no possible sources of ignition) and observe if the injectors are spraying fuel. Check to see if the cam timing mark aligns with the OT mark on the flywheel. Use a timing light to check that the spark occurs at the right time.

When you know why it doesn't start you will vastly narrow down what is broken and how to fix it.

I have replaced fuel in tank (car hasn't started for few month), spark plugs, spark wires, ignition cover, ignition module, , wires to Hall sensor, and... car ran! I don't know what exactly the reason was, I will keep an eye on it.
Thanks to everyone!
