Yep, thats my 968. I must have a talk with Mr. Mckenna... It was $8K on the car, has 177K miles, blown ac compressor, and a supposed 2cnd gear synchro out (have yet to experience this though). All in all, I am pretty happy with the car and thanks for the props.

I dont know if I ran into you guys out there that day, hung out with Eric, Jim Foster, Mike Ward, Ted Hunter, and Carston (the air cooled crowd) most of the day. My performance that day was not up to my par but I still had fun and got some valuable seat time in the 968. It certainly does drive different than my stiffer Prelude. Now I just have to M030 it to get it stiffer like my Prelude....

I would have liked to have made the top 10 PCA, but then one of the 3 968's there did make it so we were represented.

Oh, btw, the Vettes won the shootout again. Their team 1 won first, and their team 2 won second by .04 or something seconds. FTD however went to Dave Raum in his nice three wheeling 3.0L 911.

Ahh, now I remember, you are Jeremy. Yeah, Miss Cutie T won her class and was very happy. My time....I don't remember it off hand as I forgot it after I was not pleased with my performance. I guess I must take the advice of my buds and remember that I only got the car last month and have only autoxed it twice and have crap street tires.... Look out next year Vette's, I will be back up to par!

I think after indexing I was a 61.something. I will have to see what the results say when Walt sends them. Hopefully he will send all of them with the indexing.

How did you like the course? It was basically the same course as last time only opened up a smidge. I thought it was an ok course, Walt is getting better at designing them. Hopefully soon he gets a nice CSCC like course for our final Redline.

That was a very cool event. I was suprised when I saw all the cars when I pulled in, I was thinking it was going to be small.

Although my best run (61.60) was .5 seconds off Tifo, I did take the honors in my class. (that would be a harder thing to do if there were more than 2 P-8 cars )

Now.. for the close call... I spun pretty good and came about 3" from the guardrail. (I went back and got some vid of the scene) I'm not saying anything more than that until I get the vid up. Specualations from everyone have been thrown about, tires, too much power, too much brake, 911 dripping oil, Tifo dumping out his water bottle, etc. The vid is pretty good, and you can make the call yourself.

I should have my vids up in a few days.

Here's an interior shot of the 968. Congrats, Darth. That a very nice car and $8K is still a helluva deal.

I'll look through the pics I have and see if I have any of it on the track.

I think the Corvette guys dropped marbles on the track.

Hey Chris, Tifo said he has rotors and calipers for you. PM him for details.

Just got done doing that Pete- Thanks! I'm gonna have to "import" some Rolling rocks- funny how a "specialty" beer here is cheaper than a "local" beer in Ohio.
....and what's up with the state run liquor stores- It's like buying beer in Canada for cryin out loud!

"uh.. my Elsinore beer here has a mouse in it, eh! I'm s'pose to get a free 12 pack or somethin' " Doug McKenzie, "Great White North"

I'm pretty sure tomorrow's trip to Columbus will be a "Buick" driving session.- m, Lots of room for parts!

I'm packing today, WooHoo- Ohio!!

Chris,

Let me know if it would be easier for you if I drop the parts by Pete's house and you can pick them up there. His house is easier to find than mine (less turns off the highway) and you've been there before........

He jokes about my Casper the Friendly Buick, but I think we can fit a few more things it in for the first trip out. Apartment looking later in the week! Who wouldda thunk it?
