Pete I am doing that right now, started this morning. Will have it out by next weekend (2 hours a night or less). I am pulling it simply to freshen, some stuff looked difficult to get at and there are some oil leaks, I figured might as well take it out and do it all at one time.

Thanks Matt. That's my thinking too. I don't need the car as a daily driver, hell it's in Texas and I am in RI but when I move again next year I think I want to pull the motor, fix some things, freshen and clean it then replace. I would rather do it on my terms to learn instead of a major failure.
