banjo bolt vacuum line replacement? (with pic)
hi all!
anyone got a slick way to replace this banjo bolt vacuum line? my original line is totally split--car runs fine, makes plenty boost, which is surprising, considering this huge leak on the way out of the turbo into the intercooler.
hmm... maybe it's time to pull the intake manifold and replace a few vacuum lines--never taken it off before
cheers!

yea cut off the old line, then cut the surrounding metal off (the piece that moves on top of the barb fitting) with whatever you got and underneath it is a nipple/barb fitting. attach new hose and walah. cheap and quick.

It's bigger than the small ones, but I can't recall the exact size. You were probably making boost fine because the WG was getting no signal, allowing your turbo to spool like mad. So the boost leak at the IC pipe was compensated for by a turbo working overtime.

Just use a hacksaw and carefully cut into the crimped band where it attaches to the banjo. Don't cut into the bango. When you almost get through, take a diagonal cutter and peel it off. Leaves a nice barb fitting. Add 5/16 diam fuel hose and a hose clamp. Funny thing is I just was fooling around with mine several times yesterday (adjusting boost contoller) and I completely forgot that 1 year ago it looked like your picture!
