Wow, I know how it feels like to get stuff stolen from.

Hope the guys just took it out for a joyride and left it how it is. Good luck.

Well, it's only a car, but it still sucks that it got stolen from you.

I'm sorry to hear this. Hope it all works out for you.

Tom, sorry to hear that your car is gone, particularly after you spent all that time and effort to get it sorted. I hope you recover it intact or end up with a decent outcome one way or another.

Funny, I just saw a beautiful S2 on campus today. I've never seen an S2 on campus before, but then, Freshman just arrived last week. I wish I could say it was worth looking into, but likely it isn't.
I'm sorry for your loss.

Hey Tom,

Sorry abut the loss.

Post us your VIN and Engine number. At least then if it comes onto the market somewhere then us Rennlisters can keep an eye out for it.

Maybe John D can setup a registered list of stolen Porsches so that we all know!

I know this sounds stupid, But when I park in a high risk area. I pop the hood and pull the wire from the center of the distributor off.. sorry to hear of your loss. I hope they don't find it though.. if they do the perps. probably beat the **** out of it.. Most Joy rides, aka find the car. Ussually is just that. seen to many bent frames and such. and the ins. company does not care. Better to get the money. and start over.

Wow Tom--Sorry about that! Timing is everything. If they only stole it BEFORE you did that engine work! Good luck with Geico. Make SURE you tell them there were no keys in the car. They don't care about a wheel lock key--you shouldn't have mentioned it!

I assume you won't be getting into another P-car soon?

PS- I wish you sold me those 968 rims...now I have to wait for someone far away to mail them to me. Who knew.

Tom, are you a PCA member? If you are get the valuation done from them! It doesnt take long at all. Just fill out all the info on the website and they will mail it to you. They do it for just these situations when you need to deal with insurance. I have recent written documentation from Porsche that an S2 in good condition like mine should get between 17k and 22k in claims. Nothing less than 11.5k should be recieved. And thats for a poor condition model. That is coming from PCNA. I think i will be getting one every year just in case something ever happens. (PCNA dates them)

That really sucks, Tom. I hope it all works out for you.
If you get enough cash out of the insurance company you may be interested in this.

Damn, that's a nice one, Pete!! 30k, and minty fresh!! Great find, although I am guessing Tom has NO interest in another $2!?
