Tom, i was blown away by your first response. Truly you are a dude that knows what is important in life. Very smooth. Sometimes we forget they are just cars! All the time we spend, its like a friend that doesnt complain! In the end though, there are things we cant forget. I hope everything works out! By the way...my car has not sold yet. (i got lazy while i was away and didnt advertise it) 1994 Isuzu Rodeo V6 4wd. Metallic Green w/ grey cloth, good condition. I got another german as my daily driver so i have the Isuzu just sitting around. Let me know if you are interested, i have a webpage with pictures up. $6000 but quite negotiable. Nice stereo included. (high end kenwood with seperate EQ, 2 amps, and MTX sub). Just drop me a line if you have any interest!

Tom, that really sucks to hear. I'll keep my eyes pealed for anything that looks close. Was there any broken glass on the floor?

Yeah, when they got my 87 951 right in front of my house there was nothing...
My 88 GTI 16v met the same fate as well...

Did you have the factory alarm set? Any chance someone who has serviced the car could have copied the key?

Sorry Tom.. I have some friends on LI who I am sure would be happy to keep their eyes peeled.

Side note.. and I hope to hell this does not happen, keep tabs on e-bay for parts you may recognize. It happens quite often.

Hang in there.

I see your problem, your cars are too friggin' nice!

Either that or you have to be more random in your parking habits or stop leaving the keys in the trunk.

Good luck, eh?

so thats my problem. actually the key was in the ashtray. the key to the wheel locks that is.

i know geico is going to give me crap because i said a key to the car was in the car. i know she forgot to take down that it is the key to the wheel locks.

i wonder if i locked the gas cap. that would really **** them off if they just wanted to joy ride.

john,
i gave the officer taking the report the name of the shop that did the motor work and their number not thinking that is why he asked the question.

Tom,

I didn't connect the $$$ put into that car until I say your baby avatar!!!

Well, I have a lot of family that takes Metro North into NYC from Westchester, don't you really need a $500 car to park at the train station instead? That's what they all do. The parking lot at their station is totally deserted in the middle of the day, and they can guess that they have ~8-10 hours to take your car. Damn, they could put a guy out there in a suit next to another guy in a flatbed, and everyone would assume that the car was legitimately being towed away.

Good luck in getting your car back, or in getting a decent settlement from the insurance company.

the stereo in my white car got stolen like 2 weeks ago and i was more angry than you seem right now! I have a hard time dealing with the fact that people who are so pathetic, to enter muchless steal someone else's car, are living and breathing... It makes me want to find them or someone like them and do bad things.

I know you are usually busy and i have offered a few times when your car wasnt running but if you ever have free time on a sunday and still feel like driving a porsche you are welcome to autocross mine with me.
