Going to a conference in Minneapolis next week. Conference is at the Hyatt on Nicollet Ave. Anyways I've screwed up my hotel reservations. Can anyone tell me a Hotel that's a decent price (But not scummy) in the area, preferably withing Walking distance. ?

Willing to buy a beer or two for the info.

*** IDeal would be within walking distance with both a decent coffee shop and an Irish pub in between

I don't think anything that is central is going to be "cheap". Especially if this is a big conference and you waited this long to book the room.

Also beware that taxis are not that easy to come by in Minneapolis. It is not like Chicago or New York. Better call in the cab pickup a half hour before you want to go.

Nah, not a big conference. ASDSO American Society of Dam Safety Officials, and it's only a regional conference. Cheap for me is the Hyatt was $150, Anything under $100 and I'd be happy.

Bunch of booring Geotechs, and not that many of them to boot.

And the good news is I might get an 87 325 for $500. Far from good shape but reliable.

Well Ice was right, per usual.

There must be something else going on in Minneapolis. Got a suite at the doubletree cost of $159.00 a night. 1/2 mile away.
