Monday afternoon fun... I've never done any fiberglass stuff before, so I'm really curious to see how this turns out. It's not dry enough to be removed from the car yet.

Piece of cardboard to cover up the thing where the spare wheel attaches. Not a very elegant solution, but hey, it seems to work..

Covering the spare wheel well

Rough pieces of fg carpet cut up and being test-fit

These rubber gloves ruled! That's yours truly right there..

Time to wait for everything to dry up..

Then for something completely different. Dad's Passat was in for some service, and they gave this Golf as a loaner. It's definately a fun car, even with the lowly 1.6l engine.

Later on in the evening we spotted some f#½!"d up truck scenario:

The arrow is pointing to a whole lot of shattered glass...

The fire brigade was there...

As well as the five oh

"Cool" night shot of the trusty Golf

Are you gonna make the first shape with the fiberglass mat and pull it out and add more to it? That's the way I'd do it.

Just my $.02 Good luck!

streckfu, sure thing - I'm trying to get this thing done before the weekend.

jabba, yep, I want to get that thing out of the car as soon as possible, that stuff sure smells awful until it dries up...
