Default Brake lights fuse blown, please help!

So I just noticed this weird problem with the break lights not turning on, so I started checking the fuse box. On my '86 944 it is fuse 19 "brake light/cruise control" fuse that instantly blows as soon as I put a new one in. Any idea where could the short be?

Did you try unpluging the cruise control?

The fuse blows even when the brake is not engaged. How do I unplug cruise control?

There's a box on the left side of the driver's footwell up under the dash that's no fun to get to, but it can be unplugged. The servo motor should be unplugged separately to isolate where the short might be. It's on top of the passenger fender just forward of the battery. I'd start with that first since it's easier to disable.

Thank you! It turns out to be the cruise control computer. I have to get that fixed!
