What color is your crankshaft front o-ring seal?
I just received a new (from the Porsche dealer) crankshaft front o-ring (999.707.283.40) and it is a bright red color (photo below).
I was expecting green since that is the color that came off my car and is the color most commonly shown in pictures on Rennlist.
A few comments:
* Do I have the correct part number for a 1986 944 Turbo?
* Has anyone else seen a red version?
* Note this seal is the same part number specified for the turbo thermostat housing on the waterpump
Perhaps the "green" is aftermarket while "red" is genuine Porsche?
Just want a sanity check before putting this one on the engine due to labor required to swap out if it does not work.

I have one from Porsche, which is red. I currently have a green one on there. The old one was purple (not faded red - 100% Joker purple).
