Has anybody here bored out there throttle body ???
What type of improvement did it make ???

I have a spare throttle body lying about, which I was planning to bore out by a few mm and place on a early model 944, but before I go ahead , I was hoping to see if anyone else has tried it out

throttle body is like 1/1000 the restriction of the rest of the intake tract. You'd probably have better luck trying one of those 'tornado' thingies.

I read somewhere that the intake can flow 220cfm while the head can only flow 186cfm. Anyone else read that?

About a 25% difference. About right for a plenum calculation.

Most bored TBs add nothing to power because they are not restriction. They feel like they did a lot because they improve throttle tip-in response. This is because for equal amounts of tip-in, the bored TB will pass more air.
