Default Fuel rail regulators

Why are the regulators on the fuel rail tightened to the Nth degree on a piece of flimsy *** sheetmetal that's spot welded to the rail?????

HUH,,,,,WHY?????

Who the hell engineered some of this stuff??????

I'll be looking for another early fuel rail in about 3 minutes

I tried to get one off of my rail, fear of breaking it, I pulled the easier one off of my NA rail. I don't have an early rail man, sorry. Yeah, I don't understand the whole steele BS rail, should be a nice billet one that needs no mods for any HP range and easily removable parts. That's life, this is Porsche. Sorry to hear man, any luck on getting it to run?

Negative on getting it running....

Down for a couple of weeks now. Have to get new fuel rail... That Reg aint coming off. Oh well, I wanted new ones anyway.... I love it, another used fuel rail with new regs What a POS!!!!!!! Already replaced it once and had the injectors rebuilt, so if I ever figure out what the original problem is, I will have a pretty new fuel system. Thinking I will probably get a fuel pump as well, I've always felt the pump on this thing was iffy at best, never really leaked, but always seemed to be covered with a damp grime, no matter how often and well I cleaned it.

Been on vacation for 3 weeks, gotta go back to work tomorrow for 6 days straight. Only got to drive the car about 5 times while I was off
