Default Missing bolt (help a guy out)

Hi rennlist-

I need to know what kind of bolt I'm missing, so I can replace it and stop leaking oil. Behind the passenger side front wheel, just behind the oil cooler, next to where the exhaust converts from 2 pipes to 1, there are two bolts, one about an inch higher than the other. They are on a surface facing 45 degrees downwards towards the passenger side. The top bolt is the missing one.

The bottom one is marked, B (star) T, grade 8.8.

I tried for a picture, but couldn't get a good one. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or what goes there, feel free to chime in lol.

Thanks
Ian

What size? Sounds like you may be describing the bolts that hold on the painted sheet metal flywheel cover; they wouldn't have anything to do with oil. Mine have 17mm heads, IIRC. GL!

Oil leaks are from gaskets and seals. Most likely the rear end cap of the cam housing and is running down the bell housing. Could also be the flywheel seal. Or even the from crank and counter balance shaft seals.

Hm, I'd like to know where the oil is specifically leaking from, too! As for oddball nuts and bolts and parts, check with Legoland951; he has little wierd things like that.
