First vehicle: '86.5 Nissan Hardbody 4x4 V6. First one to be sold in Seattle, back in '86. Ran like a champ without any issue until '97 and ~130,000 miles when it was sold for:

'94 Honda Prelude Si: Great car. Good handling, dead reliable, fairly quick for all things considered, slightly modified. Sold because I was broke for:

'79 Honda Prelude: Good car...beat to all hell. Bought with 230,000 miles, engine died at about 280,000 miles. I was the 5th owner and have no idea what happened while the previous 4 owners had it. Donated it to charity

Then my 951.

From previous to most recent...

1983 Mustang GT - first car
1970 Olds 442 - with a Chevy 396, Turbo 400, 12 bolt rear
1974 Datsun 260Z - no frame rails left but looked great
1987 VW Scirocco 16V - lightly modded
1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 - heavily modded (should have kept it)
1986 Ford Tempo - winter car (with Mustang)
1987 Porsche 944S - nice but needed more power
1990 BMW 750iL - V12, repair costs were mind boggling ($800 plug wires, need I say more?)
1995 Nissan 240sx - lightly modded, too ricey looking for me
1994 Mazda Rx-7TT - nice but needed fixing regularly
1997 BMW 328is - nice but pricey for what it was
1986 Honda Accord - bought it for $1800, sold it for $3500 a couple months later :-)

1989 Porsche 951 - still have
1997 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer - still have (daily driver)

1995 Toyota Corrolla (beat the crap out of it till i finally totaled it)

1969 Black Pontiac Firebird (gorgeous on the outside, needed lots of mechanical work)

1994 Forrest Green Ford Mustang GT 5.0HO (was a monster, lots of bolt ons, was putting out over 300HP at the wheels off of the dyno)

1987 Diamond Blue Metallic Porsche 944S (my current car and by far the best!!!)

Some high points:

1961 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite - first car, stolen out of my driveway
1962 Mark 2 AH Sprite - the replacement
1964 Triumph TR4 - through grad school (Cleveland, Ohio) in the 1960's, should have kept it forever
3 Alfa Romeos - 1300 GT Jr., 1300 Spider, 1750 Spider
1962 Ferrari 250 GTE, had it for five years BK(before kids), went off the track at Mosport, a work of art, no sound like a V-12, still miss it
1968 Triumph TR 250, concours car, sold it because it was too good to drive on the street
Currently: 1986 951 Trackmobile, not purty but purty fast
Next: I-class 944?

Remember it? 30 percent of the dust in the world today is the remnants of Corona's.

Only car you didn't have to tow to the junkyard. Leave it out in the rain and it would wash down the storm drains.

I've still got too many vehicles: Buy my 944!

Tom

(EDIT) Oops, I forgot the bikes:
A couple of Suzukis including an old 2 cycle which was given to me by a friend as "no longer any good". I cleaned the carbs and it ran great. Sold it for $1000
Kawasaki KZ-650, which is the bike I was riding when I was nailed by the infamous "left turn in front of the motorcycle I didn't see". Broke too many bones and tore enough flesh that I haven't ridden a bike since.

I'm game here:

Has the mom's hand me down 88 Mercury Sable. Repainted from the "family beige" so something more appropriate... Was totaled when someone else blew a stopsign.

Borrowed the mom's 95 Nissan Sentra...

...Till I found the 86 944. Hooked since! Had no idea what I was getting into.

Bout a 03 VW Jetta GLI in December, 200 torquey horses wiht a slick 6-speed as the daily driver.

And just last week stepped into the bike world with a steal on a 96 Triumph Daytona 1200! Wish me luck here... ;-)

Started out with a 1989 Ford Probe, learned to drive stick shift on this. Car was sold soon after to my dads buddy as a car for his son.

Picked up a half restored 1968 Ford Mustang and pretty much finished up all the work over the summer.

My dad bought me a 1989 944NA 5-speed, Baltic blue. Only had the car about 1 week before we sold it. The floorboards had rust all over them and it would stall constantly.

My dad got me the 1987 924S in August of 2002.
