Someone's 951 went down today
I had to take the wife's car up to the gas station this afternoon to fill it up and when I pulled in I saw a 951 at one of the pumps with the hood up. I went over to see if they needed help and the problem was that a radiator hose had sprung a big leak. It didn't seem too bad until I looked under the car and saw the collant was completely mixed with oil. He had just changed the coolant recently and it was fine so I suspect that the oil cooler seals let go and overheated the engine and caused the hose to burst. I checked the oil on the dipstick and it was clean. He already had someone coming to help so I told him not to try and drive it. He's going to have it towed to a shop for repairs.
It was an '86 951 that has been repainted in a very dark maroon color, almost black. The owner's name is Ben and he's from Yellow Springs.
If you're reading this Ben I hope it all works out ok for you.

Spread the renn-lovin man! lol I can't wait to get out in my car, I've got about 3 944s that I always see and wave to, but I'm always at work or walking. They probably think I'm some weirdo. When I get the 44 out, they might see why I'm waving.
