Seeking quick ignition trouble (coil?) tips...
I'm just trying to get my 952 fired up again after spending a bit too long fiddling with head gaskets and stuff, and despite turning over OK the engine's not starting. A quick check suggested no spark, and I've just looked at the coil - it seems as if it's not getting 12V when ignition is on (no voltage showing at either green or black terminals). I don't think I took apart anything that should have affected that, so where should I be looking next?
(It was running fine, and as far as I know had no ignition problems, before I did the gasket, oil cooler etc. I checked as per Clark's Garage, and the coil is showing 5.5k Ohms/1.1 Ohms resistance.)

Terminal 15 of the ignition switch provides 12 VDC to terminal 15 of the coil (and other circuits) with the ignition switch in the on position. Do you have wiring diagrams to trace the wiring and connector path?

I downloaded a wiring diagram a while back, though I seem to recall it being pretty hard to follow. I'll trace the wires from Terminal 15 and from the coil and see where that gets me...
Took a look at the immobiliser today and it seems to be working properly. Bypassing the cut circuits made no difference.

Watch the video that Van produced, it will help you understand how to read the 80's wiring diagrams.

Crank sensor connection was the problem - one of those increasingly fragile connectors at the rear of the intake manifold. I really should have checked that sooner, but I'd mentally shuffled it to the bottom of the pile of likely causes as I hadn't touched the sensor itself.
I might look into replacing that and a few other of the connectors before too long
