Monetary value of having all vin stickers present?
I realize it's hard to quantify this one but figured I'd at least ask for some opinions.
My car has all the vin decals on each panel (fenders, bumper, hatch, hood, doors, door jambs) and I'm about to get it painted. I feel that it'll look better if they're removed before painting versus masked, but have concerns over how much this may affect resale value of the car.
Assuming a car was otherwise clean, fairly low mileage, and original - would the absence of these decals due to a repaint have any significant impact on the value/price?
Thank you

Yeah, if you're repainting the car, I think you're changing the "originality" beyond any value that retaining the stickers might have.
But I'm neither a concours judge nor a buyer who would be interested in a super low-mileage original car.

tape them over. Why? because when you paint the car you mask prior neglect. by having the vin stickers still on the car, when you go to sell it (or when your heirs go to sell it because you will own it till you die - just like I said with a dozen cars I used to have) the buyer will know it is and was always a straight car.
screw the concours judges!
