Question

Base 89 2.7L. Which water pump?

Gets hot sitting at lights, but cools down when revs brought up a little.

Anyone have the correct part number for this pump? It seems there are a few options and the prices vary widely. Is this pump unique to the 2.7? Can you run an earlier pump (they seem to be a little cheaper). Just confused by all the variables.

Oh, an it's an automatic, if that changes anything.

TIA.
You need to be using the S2/968 water pump, the 2.5 will fit but you will encounter the symptoms that you have.
