My '77 924 has an oil pressure gauge right there, but it's in a different unit (like kp/cm^3 or something).

1988 ;You know, I believe you are right about the 10 bar gauge being an oil gauge. Its been a few yrs since I had mine.I misread the post and thought it was a 1 bar , but I still have a cluster from one, somewhere. But I have no doubt there are euro 931's in this country. Most of which were bought into the country by us servicemen. That was the rage back then. Buy a vw there ,ship it here ,sell it, a make a few bucks.

It is definitively an oil pressure gauge. No 931's came w/ boost gauges. Different scales were used on the oil pressure gauges than the 944's on some years.

Shows how much I know....just checked the owner's manual, it is definitely an oil pressure gauge. I always assumed since these things have the idiot light in the cluster with the fuel gauge (I think it was above the signal light indicator?)that there was no pressure gauge.

okay, heres a question, will a 924 10 bar op guage work in my 944? i have a couple of guages here, clock, op guage from a 924, and if i can put em in now i will, but i dunno if its a waste of time. i know the clock'll fit, but will the O.P. guage work properly?

I have a turbo boost gauge in my N/A... A PO must have gotten a better deal on it than a new N/A gauge cluster. I should see if I can make it work in place of the mpg gauge.
