Saving a 944NA
#18
Well guys, it looks like a part out is in store for this one. I did a little digging and it turns out that this car has been sitting for MUCH longer than I was lead to believe. Because of that it would literally need everything done to it before I felt it was safe to drive, and to be honest, I was not looking for a full rest project. I was looking for something that was on the road, maybe a couple of years ago, and just needed some love/attention/upkeep to get back on the road so that I could use it as a daily while I put the real money into my other car (C36 AMG). But the amount of money that I could have to put into this optionless 944... well. I'd rather just put that into the AMG now.

I had a car with a seized motor from sitting once. It was not a 944, but none the less it was frozen solid. With a lot of patience, and wd40 down the cylinder and very slowly working it back and forth it broke free. That engine is still running well, now in another car that I know after 20 years. You may be able to save her yet. Also local to me is a good engine for $350 .
