A couple months ago, I had my local shop fix a rough idling problem on my '87 944. They deduced it to be a vacuum leak and fixed it as shown in the attached picture. Now, whenever I cold start it, it starts making that same rough sputtering sound as it did before the vacuum leak.was fixed. I noticed something isn't plugged in, but I don't know what it is or where it goes to. I am running 20w-50 oil in it right now and cold oil pressure is at 5 bar. Could that be it, or another vaccum leak?
Thanks for any helpful tips and advice!

That is a vacuum input line check valve to the A/C controller. I see in your picture, the small nipple on the brake booster check valve is broken off. The screw in the vacuum line you're holding is not a good seal because of the threads. Use a golf tee. Which line is that? Look at the pic to see more about the Vacuum line hookups. I'd also recommend re-checking the vacuum line routings per the schematic on Clarks Garage to ensure all are according to the manual.
For the issue of cold start issues, look into the DME temp sensor (blue) on the front of the engine next to the water neck. Check to see if the connector is off or the sensor (cheap) is faulty.
