Default Sunroof Question

Hi

We have a 1990 S2.

We used the sunroof numerous times during the summer and everything was great.

Satuday I took the Sunroof out for the first time using the instructions in the owners manual.
At the end of the day I put the Sunroof back in following the instructions in the owner's manual. The sunroof locked into place as it should.

Yesterday the sunroof opened perfectly. At the end of the drive I went to close it and nothing. The only way I was able to get it closed was to turn the ignition to position 1 and press the back half of the rocker switch.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

John

My guess would be that the microswitch above the mirror failed. I've seen may fail this way. The switch is usually good but the plastic holding it in place breaks.
