Unhappy turbo is scraping

ok i just got my car put back together today and took it out for a test drive. it boosted fine for a while, but then after about 20 minutes it would only hit 1.5 bar, and once it did, the turbo made an awful scraping noise, like the bearing was shot or something. what could this be? do i need a new turbo? in addition, the thermoswitch next to the throttle body is broken, maybe my turbo overheated and burned the bearing..... any ideas? maybe this will give me a good excuse to buy the guru 364 kit once it comes out......

Pull the intake boot off of the front of the turbo. Grab the bolt in the center and wiggle it various way to see if there is too much play. I thought the tolerance was like .3mm, I could be wrong. Basicly, it is in the housing with not much room, if it will touch the impeller to the housing. You need to be not driving it and turbo shopping. If it is touching, you'll get metal into the motor, that's bad!
