Default No power No Crank No Start

So the other day I was cleaning the up my engine bay of my 85.5 NA. just removing dirt and debris so I dont have any spots were moisture and water could be trapped or formulate so I dont have rust building up. after clean I tried cranking the car over but nothing happen. no lights where turning on, not cranking over nothing as if the battery was dead but doesnt make sense cause theres a new battery in the car. i spent hours checking fuses and they all seem to be fine. im not sure what going on need help.

Check the battery terminals for corrosion and tightness. Check the ground end of the battery cable that it is secure on the top of the bell housing. Check the battery volts to be around 12volts. It's not unheard of for a new battery to be dead due to defect or something has drawn it down below 10v. Other possibilities: Loose battery cable on the starter or defective ignition switch or connector on the back of the ignition switch.
